Exhibition at BEHR American HQ in Rochester Hills, MI through May 8
Sometimes good girls go bad. Sometimes bad men get what they have coming. Through my mixed-media artwork, I explore the powers of unbridled emotion, and the romantic transgressions of human relationships. Working with the BEHR automotive parts gave me the opportunity to play out an age-old drama of heartbroken vengeance. The story is nothing new. A woman’s despair and frustration turns to destructive rage. A man’s visceral connection to his vehicle makes his car the perfect prey. Staging the devastation in a composed, dreamlike scene full of structure and poise, brings a sense of dignity and restraint to the kill.
